Spray unit attachment

Steps

1. Target time
   The attachment or deattachment process should take no more than 10 minutes.
2. Equipment (as per the photo)
   • Big blue tractor
   • Spray unit
   • Club hammer
   • Two linch pins
   • Centre pin with thin linch pin

   

3. Method
   Note: left and right refer to the side of the tractor when seated in the driver's seat looking forward.

   1. Before backing into the spray unit:
      • Align the crate with the PTO shaft so it is able to be driven over.
      • Lock the right swing arm of the 3-point linkage all the way to the left, and then back two holes.
      • Lock the left swing arm of the 3-point linkage all the way to the left.
      • Drop the centre arm of the 3-point linkage.
   2. Back over the crate with the PTO shaft.
   3. Make sure that both swing arms are to the left of the spray unit’s thicker mounting pins:
      • The right-hand swing arm will be on the inside of the spray unit.
      • The left-hand swing arm will be on the outside of the spray unit.
   4. Attach the centre arm, pinning it in place with its skinny linch pin.
   5. Use the length adjustment of the centre arm to align the left swing arm and attach the left swing arm, pinning it in place with a linch pin.
   6. Use the centre arm length adjuster and the height adjustment of the right swing arm to attach the right swing arm and pin it.
   7. Attach the PTO shaft.
   8. Lift the spray unit.
   9. Carefully drive out.
   10. Once on level ground:
       • Centre the spray unit between the tractor tyres.
       • Level the spray unit with the tractor chassis.
